Andrea True

Andrea True was an American singer, songwriter, actress and former adult performer born Andrea Marie Truden in Nashville on July 26, 1943. She moved to New York in 1968 to pursue acting and entered adult film work in the early 1970s.

Her crossover into music produced the 1976 disco hit “More, More, More,” recorded with producer Gregg Diamond and released under the Andrea True Connection name. The song reached No. 4 on Billboard and became the best-known recording of her career.

True later released additional singles and albums and stepped away from adult film work. She died in Kingston, New York, on November 7, 2011, at age 68. Contemporary funeral-home reporting initially did not state a cause; a longtime friend later told the Boston Globe that heart failure was the cause.
