American performer and filmmaker Casey Calvert built a performing catalog before expanding into directing, writing, producing and screenwriting.
Casey Calvert is an American performer and filmmaker whose work grew from a large performing catalog into directing, writing and producing. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, on March 17, 1990, she was raised in Gainesville, Florida, and attended the University of Florida. Her birth name is Sarah Michelle Goldberger, and she has also been known as Sister Casey. She moved from Florida to Los Angeles in 2012 and began her professional performing career.
Directing became a larger part of her work after 2019, an important point in her transition into that role. The Primary series for Lust Cinema became a central part of her directorial profile. By 2022, she had become a decade-long professional industry veteran who had accumulated hundreds of directing credits and a large performance catalog. Birth, a 2024 feature film, continued her performing work. Her move into writing, producing and directing eventually followed that performing phase, and by 2023 her evolution from newcomer into a professional filmmaker with extensive credits was already clear.
Primary projects brought XBIZ directing and screenplay recognition in 2023–2024. Primary 3, a 2023 feature film from Lust Cinema, earned the XBIZ Director of the Year — Individual Work award in 2024, and Birth earned the XRCO Best Actress award for her performance in 2025. Her later honors include these two award wins.
