Charles Dera

Charles Dera is an American performer, director, model and former dancer. Born Charles Deraczunas on December 21, 1978, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, he has also been credited as Karl ToughLove. Before entering adult film, Dera toured with Chippendales as a dancer, worked as a model, appeared in Playgirl and had a brief mixed-martial-arts stint. Playgirl named him Man of the Year in 2005.

His adult-film breakthrough came in 2007. The following year he received XRCO Best New Stud recognition. Dera then developed a long-running performer career with hundreds of acting credits. His awards history includes multiple AVN and XRCO wins, among them acting and scene honors in later years. He remained a Male Performer of the Year nominee in the 2025-2026 award cycles.

Dera later added directing and camera work to his filmography. His professional directing work and active performance credits continued from 2021 through 2026.
