Disruptive Films is a gay adult studio launched in 2021 with an emphasis on story-driven, feature-style productions. XBIZ coverage describes its creation as a collaboration between the company then known as Zubb Media and filmmaker Bree Mills, whose first major feature for the label was The Last Course.
In July 2022 Zubb Media rebranded its production arm as Alpha Studio Group, bringing Disruptive Films together with Next Door Studios, Active Duty and Pride Studios under a broader studio identity. The Disruptive launch was described by Alpha Studio Group leadership as one of the company's most ambitious projects.
ASGmax later became an umbrella membership destination for the Alpha Studio Group portfolio, including Disruptive Films. The current Disruptive membership site's footer identifies Digigamma B.V. in the Netherlands as the legal site operator, while the creative studio lineage remains Alpha Studio Group.
