About Hard X
Hard X launched in 2013 as one of the first two production studios created by OpenLife Entertainment. XBIZ coverage from September 2013 describes Anikka as the first release from the newly created Hard X label and identifies veteran director Mason as the filmmaker brought in to build OpenLife's production division.
Mason became the studio's defining early creative figure and developed a large catalog of recurring gonzo and performer-focused series. Contemporary XBIZ reporting also identifies HardX.com as the studio's official membership destination.
Hard X later became part of the X Empire portfolio alongside Erotica X, Lesbian X and Dark X. In August 2022 Gamma Entertainment announced its full acquisition of Open Life Entertainment, including the X Empire brands.
