Magmafilm

Magmafilm was founded in Essen in 1988 by director Walter “Moli” Molitor under the original company name MTC Bild und Tonträger GmbH.

The company became one of the best-known German adult film labels across the VHS, DVD and early digital eras. Nils Molitor later took over management before leaving the company in 2005.

Swiss company Mascotte Film AG acquired the business in 2000 and became the rights-holder context for productions released under the Magmafilm and Tabu labels.
