Katsuni

Katsuni is the former adult-performance name of Céline Tran, a French-Vietnamese actress, director, and creator. Born in Paris on April 9, 1979, Tran began performing under that name in the early 2000s and built an international career in the adult industry. The phase lasted 13 years and is treated as a completed chapter rather than her current work. It brought her nearly forty international awards. She remained based there while working in international productions, and credits have also listed her as Celine Tran and Katsumi.

When she expanded into directing while still performing, she accumulated five directing credits between 2010 and 2012. Those credits appeared under the Katsuni name and include In Bed with Katsuni from 2012. That work preceded a broader move into mainstream acting and screen projects. In 2012 she appeared as Katsuni in the French comedy film Les Kaïra, a mainstream crossover. In 2017, as Céline Tran, she played Madame Butterfly in the action feature Jailbreak.

After that completed adult-performance chapter had ended, she later continued in mainstream film and television, in performance, in writing, and in other creative work under the Céline Tran name. Her later projects followed the roles that had taken her beyond the Katsuni name. She has also worked as a creator, extending her range beyond acting and directing into new creative areas.
